INGREDIENTS:

  • 1lb ground beef (min 20% fat content)

  • 1/2 tbsp Kosher salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce

DIRECTIONS:

1. Mix all the ingredients with the ground beef in a bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Put the mixture in the freezer for a further 1 hour until the ground beef is very cold but not frozen. This will make the fat in the beef easier to work with.

2. Divide the ground beef into 4 balls and use a hamburger press to shape the burgers.

3. Lightly season the patties with salt and pepper and grill to medium rare over charcoal. Remove from direct heat and allow the burgers to finish cooking until they reach medium.
