Habañeros Sausage Soup

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place the Garbanzo beans in a saucepan with 3 cups of water and a little salt. Heat.

2. Add the white wine and reduce by 1/4. Use an immersion blender to puree the beans. Remove from the heat.

3. Skin, dice and sauté the Habañeros sausage until brown.  Add the Baker beans, Meat sauce, mushrooms, cumin and cider vinegar to the sausage and heat. Combine with the Garbanzo bean puree and simmer for 30 minutes. If more liquid is required, add water to the soup until the desired consistency is achieved.

4. Serve with hot French bread.

  • 1 can Garbanzo Beans

  • 1 cup Baker Beans

  • 1 cup Meat sauce

  • 1 cup white wine

  • 1 cup canned mushrooms

  • 3 cups water

  • 3 tbsp Cumin

  • 4oz Habañeros Sausage

  • 1 tbsp Cider vinegar
